Never a truer word spoken. We set out to work in a planet-friendly way and place ethical business practice at the core of our work. We proactively support charities and companies who work to make the world a cleaner greener place.We will not knowingly trade with businesses who support environmentally damaging and/or morally or financially corrupt practices.
In 21st century business, being green and ethical is not as straightforward as you may think. World economy is heavily dependent on oil, and many companies have shares or financial interests in things that, on the face of it, are not exactly 'squeaky green'. How much energy went into the computer this article was written with, how long will it take to degrade? You could go mad thinking about it and the questions it throws up seem never-ending.
So we feel it is far better to encourage and support green initiatives than to criticise and focus on what is not. We proactively look for companies that offer certified organic, recycled or natural products and go from there.
We are also looking into organic certification for our products and hope to have the process under way next year.
