Because of its high oil concentration, this product is designed to soak slowly into the skin and is best used just before bedtime. It is not the same as 'modern' chemically altered oil-based creams that have a high water content and therefore do not have such a long lasting action. Avoid on eye area.
Our wonderful salve has many uses, and will leave your face beautifully moisturised. It’s a really gentle way to remove makeup – simply warm a small dab with finger tips and apply to your face, massaging in gentle circles, wait for a couple of moments for it to loosen makeup, and wipe off with a damp cotton pad or face cloth. If desired, rinse off with our gentle facial soap or leave on to moisturise overnight. Leaves your face clean and moisturised all at the same time.
Alternatively you can use it as a deep moisturising treatment after cleansing. Simply apply a thick layer with fingertips and place a warm damp face cloth over to assist with absorption. Relax for around 15 minutes and remove with damp face cloth or cotton wool pad.
